Autumn Show

General Regulations
1. All exhibits are at owners own risk.
2. Exhibitors may only make one entry per class.
3. Children may enter adult classes, but their age will not be taken into account
4. Pot plants must have been kept for at least 4 months.
5. All work must be that of the exhibitor. Children’s classes must be unaided.
6. In cookery, no commercial mixes to be used. Exhibits will be judged on flavour, texture and appearance. Cooking exhibits should be covered.
7. In craft classes, kits can be used but it must be stated on the entry form.
8. Exhibits, which should not be named, must be placed by 12.00.
9. Judging will take place between 12.00-2.30 when no public or exhibitors will be present.
10. Judges decisions will be final.
11. Certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and highly commended.
12. A cup will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining most points in the show.
1st – 5 points, 2nd – 3points, 3rd – 2 points, HC – 1 point. In the event of a tie, the exhibitor with the greater number of 1st prizes will be declared the winner.
Children’s Classes
1. 5 years & under Painting, crayon, felt tip or collage picture
2. 6-11 years Painting, crayon, felt tip or collage picture
3. 11 years & under Toy, model or other article of handicraft
4. 11 years & under 3 decorated homemade biscuits
5. 12-16 years Painting, crayon, felt tip or collage picture
6. 12-16 years One article of handicraft e.g. knitting, sewing, woodwork
7. 12-16 years 3 decorated homemade biscuits
Adult Classes
8. ‘Autumn’. An arrangement of flowers and foliage to
reflect the season.
Accessories allowed. ( width not to exceed 60
cm).
9. One rose stalk, single or multiple blooms.
10. The biggest sunflower head.
11. Vase of flowers, any kind or kinds. Foliage may be added for effect. (width 60cm)
12. Pot plant (flowering). Pot not to exceed 17cm.
13. Pot plant (foliage). Pot not to exceed 17cm.
14. Six tomatoes of one variety.
15. Six runner beans.
16. Any other vegetables—two of a kind.
17. Three apples or pears.
18 .Any other fruit – soft fruit (6 of a kind) or other (3 of a kind)
19. Heaviest marrow
20. Heaviest pumpkin
21. Victoria sandwich (approx. 17cm) (filled with jam only)
22. 3 cheese scones
23. A white cottage loaf
24. 3 ginger biscuits
25. One jar of jam.
26. A handmade toy
27. A knitted or crocheted article
28. An item of embroidery, tapestry or cross stitch
29. A greeting card (any medium).
30. Any other craft not included above (eg woodwork, decoupage, bonsai)
31. Picture—any medium (excluding those in class 28)
32. A 3-dimensional work of art, any medium or media.
33. One photograph with the title ‘Buildings’ (black & white or colour).
34. One photograph with the title ‘Nature’ (black & white or colour).
