General Information & News

Visitors and those new to Teddington Methodist Church

A leaflet “Teddington Methodist Church – A Warm Welcome for the Whole Community” is available in the narthex.  We welcome anybody who may wish to become a member of TMC. Please contact the minister, Peter Clark.

Prayer requests If you have someone you would like prayers for, please write the details on the sheets on the table at the back of the church.  Details will be given out in the service.

Church Flowers This week’s flowers have kindly been provided by Maeve Williams.

Churches Together in Teddington This week we are asked to pray for The Sons of Divine Providence.

Church Bibles You might have noticed that we have stopped putting out Bibles on the church chairs. The chairs are now being moved fairly often to accommodate different activities in the church, and the constant movement makes the Bibles susceptible to damage. If you wish to follow the readings during the service, Bibles will still be available from the shelves at the side of the church and we will endeavour to have some ready with the hymn books when you enter the church.

We would like your help and thoughts

Why do you come to TMC? What do you think would attract people who do not currently to come to TMC?

These are two of the questions included in a short questionnaire we would very much like as many people as possible associated with TMC to complete, to help us in our plans for the future. It is in confidence and we want you to say what you really think. There are copies of the questionnaire on the narthex table. It can also be sent to you by email from Robert Mortimer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and will be available on our website www.teddingtonmethodistchurch.org.uk

The responses, by 18th March please, may be left in the box in the narthex, handed to one of the stewards or sent by email to Robert Mortimer.

Fairtrade Fortnight's

The Big Steps Brew Up.

Saturday 3rd March Fairtrade, throughout 2012, is inviting churches across the UK (especially Fairtrade designated churches such as ours) to join the journey towards a better world for the poorest farmers and workers in developing countries by Taking a Step for Fairtrade.

Your step can be as big or small, or as much fun as you choose: buying a new Fairtrade product, asking a shop or canteen to stock Fairtrade products, or drawing around your shoes and writing on your footprint the step you are taking-even decorate it!

You could attend our Fairtrade Fortnight BIG STEPS BREW UP with fresh ground coffee, tea and fruit juice and delicious Fairtrade cakes on Saturday 3rd March between 10.30 & midday, here in the church! Please bring your friends and their children to participate in a Fairtrade chocolate & sweets Treasure Hunt, and have a chance to win an amazing hamper, filled with Fairtrade goodies, for the most creative footprint drawn on the day! We could even try and make a big Steps footpath showing all our steps and symbolising how our church has progressed on its journey of Fairtrade to be shared at Peter's Fairtrade church service the following day.

Help on the 3rd would be greatly appreciated in terms of drinks dispensing and Fairtrade cake contributions-please phone Iain Paton on 0779 150 9984.
